Synergy Rehabilitation Program (SRP)

Many patients have sought relief for head and neck pain through massage therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, neurologists, medical doctors and pain management doctors.  For those with a dental component to their dysfunction, their symptoms return despite the best efforts of their health care providers.  They are told that they "can't be fixed", are "broken", just need to "deal with it" or they are "crazy" or just need to cover up their pain with drugs.  These are the people that need our help the most.

After years of searching for a more standardized, convenient and highly effective system for diagnosis and therapy for those suffering from the symptoms of head and neck pain, Synergy Therapeutics has invested in the technology and training that allows us to combine the best in both dental and medical head and neck rehabilitation.

We provide an extensive head and neck exam including mandibular and cervical range of motion along with a complete head and neck muscular exam to assess the patients pain pattern.  We also take a x-ray of the patient to assess their airway and bony structures of the head and neck.

By combining the information about the forces being placed on the teeth and the muscular patterns that cause the dysfunction, we can identify those with a dental component to their overall condition.  We use a computerized bite analysis through the use of our T-Scan technology.  With this highly advanced equipment we can better guide the therapies for our patients by making sure that a balanced bite is acheived and maintained through our therapy process.  Without it, painful or imbalanced force information is constantly sent to the brain from the face which results in continued pain or a delayed recovery.

Once the dental dysfunction (bad bite) has been diagnosed, we then have the ability to be in the unique position to bring the teeth, the jaw joint, the cranium, the nerves and the muscles into balance by using the system that we call the Synergy dentomandibular sensorimotor dysfunction Rehabilitation Program, or SRP for short.  We are certified providers for the TruDenta System and have combined their rehabilitation program into our therapies available for our patients.  The combination of ultrasound, manual trigger point massage, microcurrent trigger point release and cold laser therapy in a standardized and systematic therapeutic protocol along with a home care program allows maximal rehabilitative progress in a minimal period of time.  This program covers all of the bases for a neuromuscular recovery program in a non-invasive and non-pharmacologic approach to healing.  The pain and dysfunction that comes along with years of muscular contraction through clenching and grinding causes serious damage to your skeletal and neuromuscular system.  These therapies that originated in sports medicine allow us to reduce the excessive muscular tone and pain that many of our patients experience.  It also allows us to address some of the more serious, chronic and engrained patterns of chronic head pain including headaches and migraines.

The First and Only System to Diagnose and Treat Force Related Dental Conditions Using Dynamic and Functional Methods

The TruDenta System is a proprietary combination of multi-patented hardware and software technologies. The uniquely integrated system of proven therapeutic sports medicine devices and advanced dental equipment, enables doctors to provide a new standard of care for their patients.

Individual hardware components of the TruDenta System are used in thousands of hospitals by over 10,000 practitioners in 25 countries and covered by dozens of patents. The TruDenta System combines these technologies into proprietary treatment protocols based on over a decade of research supported by thousands of clinical studies.

Education on the impacts of force on dentistry and comprehensive training on the TruDenta technologies, enables a practitioner and their staff to quickly integrate the TruDenta System equipment into their practice. The included devices enable staff to easily examine, diagnose, treat and provide long term resolution of the conditions and symptoms of dental forces and dentomandibular sensorimotor dysfunction in their patients.

Diagnostic Hardware and Software

The two distinct diagnostic hardware devices and included software enables objective, almost instantaneous measurement of literally dozens of force related conditions within the mouth, head, neck and jaw. The digital data collected is then systematically combined with information captured from a second digital measurement device. The resulting data and diagnosis easily points out where the patient symptoms are most likely originating. Combined diagnostic data is graphically and dynamically displayed for patient education and treatment acceptance on an integrated large screen, high definition monitor for patient education.

Treatment Hardware and Software

The TruDenta treatment entails no pain, needles or drugs. The therapeutic treatment devices, when utilized in the proprietary combination of specific time, frequency and modulation, collectively provide consistent clinical results by trained practitioners
