This page is currently under construction, but will decsribe the P series of appliances that we provide at Synergy Therapeutics.

  The P1 is a standard basic protective upper mouthguard that is custom made for the patient.  It can be made in many different colors and is protective for most light contact sports and amateur athletes. 

The P2 is or most popular athletic appliance.  It is a lower appliance that looks like an invisible orthodontic appliance with the added feature of custom fabricated "power pads" on the back teeth to place the lower jaw in its most ideal performance position.  These power pads were developed from the same techniques and technologies as neuromuscular dentistry.  This is determined by applied kinesiology testing of the body in both their normal biting position of the patient as compared to their performance biting position.  It is minimally protective in contact sports, but can minimize the severity of a concussion that results from a blow to the lower jaw or falling on the lower jaw potentially causing a temporomandibular joint displacement injury. 

The P3 is both a performance enhancing and protective appliance made by the standards of the Academy for Sports Dentistry with the benefit of the power pads derived from neuromuscular dentistry.  It is a dual laminate, highly protective upper mouthguard with the addition of  precise power pad placements to assist placement of the lower jaw in the ideal performance position.  It is recommended for contact sports for those who want a competive edge over their peers while protecting their smile, their jaw and their brain.  These appliances also minize the effects of jaw related concussions by positionint the TMJ in the strongest part of the joint instead of the weakest, which is where it would be without the guard.

The P4 is either a lower or upper appliance with the added precision of using two J4 myomonitor TENS units to induce mild elecrical contractions of the muscles of the head and neck to determine the very precise lower jaw positioning for extreme optimal performance.
